  25. code have to do with 060's vs. 030's. If hardware banging code works on
  26. an 030, and fails on an 060, it's not the hardware banging that is at
  27. fault, it's the CODE. Or do you think putting an 060 card in your Amiga
  28. magically changes the custom chipset so it no longer behaves in the same
  29. way.

  31. People don't need to stop hardware banging to avoid 060 problems, or
  32. learn how to hardware bang better - they need to learn how to code in
  33. assembly better, and not do things like self-modify code and then only
  34. flush the instruction cache (works on 030, can fail on 040/060 due to
  35. copyback datacache).

  37. Changing custom hardware makes hardware banging incompatible. Changing
  38. CPU only makes lame assembly code incompatible. Just like changing the
  39. OS makes misuse of OS functions incompatible. Programs can fail for all
  40. three reasons.
